The present invention relates to an association of potassium caproyl tyrosine, L- phenylalanine and taurine, which are capable of modulating tyrosinase expression and of suppressing free radical activity, for the purpose of acting on the physiological pigment-forming mechanism of hair bulb melanocytes and of "reserve" melanocytes of the external epithelial sheath, to a composition containing such an association, and to the use thereof to prevent and slow down white hair.

These formulations provide deep and lasting hair dyeing effect without causing hair damage or scalp irritation. These formulations have no keratin weakening or toxic effect.
